The Perfect Cup of Coffee

Is there really such a thing as the perfect cup of coffee?? I decided to test that theory, and here is how I went about it:

Step 1: Theory - There is such a thing as the Perfect Cup of Coffee

Step 2: Research - Search various online articles about how to make the best cup of coffee ever....ask around and identify why people actually like coffee anyway.

Step: 3: Testing - Get lots and lots of coffee and drink it! (my favorite part!)

Step: 4 - Develop a conclusion based on the results of the research and testing.

Anyway, so after extensive testing (or about 5 minutes of research mixed with years of coffee drinking....) the conclusion states that I was....(Man is this hard to say!) WRONG! There is no such thing as the Perfect Cup of Coffee....It all boils down to three main qualifiers:

1. How many cups have you had today?
2. Did you have an appropriate amount of sugar and creamer to add to your coffee?
3. Do you actually like coffee?

I will post my results on how to make an ALMOST perfect cup of coffee at a later date...right now I'm going to head for bed....I got work in the morning!

Oh and I got the picture here

  1. You need to come over to our house. Eric makes (in my completely biased opinion) the perfect cup of coffee. I'm an extremely picky coffee drinker (My parents owned a coffee shop) and have spent years developing my coffee palette! There are also several local coffee places (NOT STARBUCKS!!!) who make a pretty mean cup of coffee. We should get coffee sometime!

  2. haha Maybe we should! lol I think there is plenty of good, maybe even great cups of coffee out there...however I haven't met one that comes close to perfect yet. Maybe it is cause I'm too indecisive. I always think the next one will be even better, so I don't want to call this one perfect and then have to change my mind later on! lol Definitely we should get coffee sometime! :)

  3. The perfect cup of coffee every time isn't that what the new single cup brew systems are trying to achieve...
